News of 2011 ICRSM (Petroleum.cn news)

   After more than a year’s preparation, International Conference On Reservoir Surveillance and Management, orgnized by Xi’an Shiyou University and Shaanxi Petroleum Society, was hold at Shaanxi Hotel in Xi An, China on Oct. 19-21, 2011.

More than 20 lectures have been presented, the speakers of which include some famous specialists, such as Dr. Dennis Dria, SPE Distinguished Lecturer, Prof. Guo Haimin, Vice-president of Yangtze University, Prof. Liu Nengqiang, well testing expert of China National Petroleum Corporation, Dr.Xuri Huang, director of the Reservoir Research Center of BGP INC.,CNPC, Dr. Weidong Li，Geoscientist Advisor, Baker Hughes INC., USA , Mijo Novak, president, Hotwell, Austria, and Dr. Yula Tang，a staff petroleum engineer with Chevron.

More than 200 delegates attended the conference. The conference is initiated by professional people from petroleum industry of China and some other countries and has been supported by the Department of Science & Technology of CNPC, and China petroleum industry. We have collected more than 72 papers, all of which were written by experienced experts and scholars who come from universities, research institutes, CNPC, SINOPEC, CNOOC, and Yanchang Petroleum Corporation. The papers reflected many of the newest study achievements, new technologies, new methods, and the new products of domestic and overseas, which have much higher level and practical value.
